1st Olney Scout Group

WELCOME to the website of the 1^st Olney Scout Group.

Olney is part of the Milton Keynes Great Ouse Scout District in the Scouting County of Buckinghamshire and is fully registered with the Scout Association.

The market town of Olney (we have two markets, one weekly and a Farmers Market once a month) supports a Pancake Race every year and Dickens of a Christmas. Olney borders Northants and Beds and lies on the River Ouse. We are fortunate in having meadows around the Eastern edge of the town and this also supports our sporting community.

We are a thriving Group catering for over 90 young people within our five sections. Please use the menu to find out more about our sections. We encourage parents/guardians to be involved in the Group either on our parental rota or as named helpers supporting the leaders.

Olney Scout Group also encourages parents/guardians to enjoy Scouting with their children, we have held three successful Family Camps and in 2006 saw 160 members and their families enjoying the sunshine over a weekend at Youlbury Scout Campsite in Oxfordshire. We hold a yearly BBQ and also a Bonfire Night walk across the meadows and then enjoy chilli and hot dogs around the bonfire.
